17th Annual Parade of Playhomes
April 2009
100% of the proceeds of this event are donated to organizations that help prevent child abuse in our community!

Each year, 3 custom-built playhomes help raise money to prevent child abuse. One playhome, on display through April 30 at Northgate Mall in Durham, was auctioned off on E-Bay
The winner of the log cabin is Ester Wester. The firehouse was won by an anonymous contributor who donated the playhome to the Hillsborough Exchange Club Park.
Congratulations to the winners and thanks to everyone who bought tickets for the raffle, or bid on the Ebay home!
Every five minutes in North Carolina, a child is abused. This is a staggering statistic, and we are proud to say that the HBADOC is doing its part to help. For the past 17 years, we have been raising funds to support child abuse prevention programs in our area.
Proceeds from the 2009 Parade of Playhomes fundraiser will be distributed to The Exchange Family Center of Durham, The Exchange Family Center of Orange, and the Chatham County Partnership for Children. The funds will be used to help educate parents on parenting techniques and will also allow one-on-one counseling with families in need of these services.
