Habitat for Humanity

2009 Habitat House

Consistent with the Board policy of attempting to sponsor one home per year, on a rotating basis among our Habitat members (the Habitat for Humanity chapters in Durham, Orange and Chatham Counties are all dues paying, builder members of our association), the HBA will be the sponsor for a home to be built in the fall. 2008 Blitz Build

In June, 2008, members of the HBA built 10 homes for the three Habitat chapters in our area - one of the largets Builders Blitz projects in the country that year.

Habitat For Humanity

The Home Builders Association of Durham, Orange & Chatham Counties is very proud of the long relationship we have had with the Habitat chapters in our three-county region, all of which are dues paying builder members of the association. To date, we have helped build over 35 homes for deserving families.

Homeownership is the American Dream, and the builder and associate members of the HBADOC believe that the Habitat organization is the best example of offering a hand up, not a handout. We look forward to partnering on many more homes in the future.
